Do You Really Need a Closet Organizer?

It doesn't really matter exactly how little or how much closet storage space you may have, there are always times when you could use a little or maybe a lot more. You've done the math and tearing out a wall and building a new closet might not be the best or even a practical option for you. If you do some thoughtful planning you might just be able to figure a way to more effectively use your existing closet space. I hope that I can help you realize that a better utilization of your existing space is probably the most reasonable and cost effective solution to your closet space and storage problem.

The first consideration is the length of clothes that you will hang in your closet. If you know the length of hang for the items that need to be hung in the closet, then you will be able to plan the use of your space in the most efficient manner. What really is important here is to know a range of sizes you'll need to plan for how much space those items take up and how much room they need to hang properly. It is essential to know the amount of hanging space that you need to properly layout your organizer.

You can also add drawers or baskets to allow the storage of items such as socks or underwear. You can also reduce the general clutter by using the drawers and baskets as a catch-all for smaller miscellaneous items.

You could, if you want to, provide yourself with additional closet storage by fitting some shelves down one side of your closet and into these place baskets in which you can place much smaller items such as t shirts, socks, purses etc. They are also a great way of storing all those little items you have without actually creating more clutter. You can add tie/belt racks or shoe storage boxes or racks to further organize your clothing accessories.

There are racks that sit on the closet floor that will also serve as a purse holder. All you have to do is use your imagination to come up with more space saving ideas just by looking at the closet organizer accessories. In most cases you'll be able to just about double your hanging and double your shelf space. It is an easy and affordable way to organize not only a bedroom closet, but getting rid of the clutter you may be experiencing in the bedroom. Everything is not only hidden away, it is hidden away and organized! What a great combination.
